Each day includes technique class, prompt-based research, and interdisciplinary exploration through film and movement composition.   • Mike Tyus

    Founder

    Mike Tyus is a visionary dancer, choreographer, and creative director redefining the intersection of movement, art, and commerce. With over 20 years of experience, he has performed with Cirque Du Soleil and Pilobolus Dance Theater and choreographed for Joffrey Ballet, Peridance, and Visceral Dance Chicago. His innovative work spans museums, music videos, and brands like Apple, Facebook, and Anthropologie. A sought-after educator, he has taught at CalArts, University of Utah, and Lines Ballet. As the founder of Mike Tyus & Co., he continues to shape the future of dance, inspiring audiences and artists worldwide with groundbreaking creativity.

  • Luca Renzi

    Co-Director of Mike Tyus & CO

    Luca Renzi, a swiss-born Choreographer, Dance-Theorist, and Cinematographer, is based in Los Angeles. He holds a Masters of Fine Arts in Dance from NYU Tisch School of the Arts, specializing in Choreography & Dance/Technology. Recognized with the LAUNCH LA Residency at L.A. Dance Project, Luca currently serves as a Co-Choreographer and Co-Creative Director at Mike Tyus & Co. He is also the founder of the Choreographic Research LAB, a platform that encourages exploration in dance composition, reflecting Luca's innovative approach to design and choreography.

  • Joy Isabella Brown

    Guest Artist

    Joy Isabella Brown is a self-taught acrobat and performing artist, working to bring the underground sport of “Tricking” into mainstream movement culture. Her unique style merges acrobatics with contemporary dance, blending elements of gymnastics, dance, and martial arts. In 2017, Joy joined Jacob Jonas The Company, despite having no prior dance experience. Since then, she has toured and worked for brands including Nike, Facebook, Sony, Adidas, Under Armor, and Twitter. Joy currently performs with the renowned French company Herve Koubi and is an original cast member of the touring show Sol Invictus. Recent performances include the Joyce Theater, NYU Abu Dhabi, the F(ê)aites De La Danse Festival of Monaco.
